Responsibilities:

Strategic and Business Development:

• Technical solutions strategy and roadmap for domain,
• Domain technology strategy in 1-3 yrs time frame,
• Improvements in delivery methods, processes and practices at engineering level driving quality and efficiency of delivery,
• Making strategic, technical level decisions about product, solutions, and technologies we are using in solutions delivery,
• Validation and approval of domain offerings created within the portfolio of solutions from technical and architecture point of view,
• Definition of the technical requirements for technical profiles and development paths,
• Harvesting and delivering re-distribution of IP based on the solutions delivered to customers Contribution to the security services portfolio definition managed by Portfolio Lead,
• Prioritize security area development based on the input from business, operations of managed services and customers,
• Security domain market research and contribution to the services IP and portfolio definition,
• Definition of the learning path for security engineering and consulting,
• Contribution to the services in other domain to ensure consistent application of Predica expertise in security area. 

Operational:

• Leading security research and development efforts within engineering team,
• Hands on research around threats and security models and its practical implications,
• Driving adoption of community and open-source technologies and methodologies within the security engineering team,
• Making and contributing to the decisions on tools and products selection and adoption within security engineering and consulting teams, 
• Facilitating collaboration with partner teams (mainly vendors) and within peers in broader SoftwareONE group,
• Driving community efforts within Predica and SoftwareONE group focused on education and security knowledge sharing.

Sales & Pre-Sales :  

• Participating in meetings with C-Level stakeholders at customer side, steering committees,
• Participation and delivering talks on the industry events and conferences – acting as Predica SME in security engineering area.

Management:

• Overseeing a security engineering within research and development area,
• Growth – hiring new members of a team,
• Hire & Fire & Growth, definition of the Individual development plans,
• Promotion of the engineers, setting goals and providing feedback,
• Facilitation of team collaboration and development,
• Managing objective-based goals and performance review rules for security engineering team.

Requirements:

Technology:

• Knowledge and experience within Microsoft products and technologies,
• Azure cloud infrastructure and services in IaaS, PaaS and SaaS model,
• Cloud governance, security, and risk models,
• DevOps and operational models for Microsoft Azure and services running on top of Azure cloud,
• Microsoft 365 security architecture and services,
• Microsoft identity stack (authentication and authorization) on-premises and in the Azure cloud (Azure AD), 
• Delivering architecture for solutions based on business and functional requirements,
• Deep technical knowledge of security engineering topics – threats analytics, languages and frameworks used for threat analytics and hunting (KQL, SIGMA, Jupyter Notebooks),
• Deep knowledge of modern security frameworks around Zero-Trust concepts in practical terms,
• Knowledge of cloud security topics, threat models for cloud providers,
• Good knowledge of general security related topics,
  • Security and risk modeling frameworks,
  • Privileges management and risk management,
  • Identity management and GRC,
  • Security norms and certifications applied in the industry,
  • Security assessment and customer maturity assessment frameworks and methodologies,
• Knowledge of security methodologies, threat models and landscape,
• Knowledge of DevOps process and application of security in DevOps process (DevSecOps). Knowledge of frameworks and tools in this area,
• Willingness to lead research in those areas and update knowledge with security engineering team.

Management:

• People management experience in managing small team of technical engineers, 
• Recruitment, hire, fire experience,
• Experience in managing and developing technical engineers up to the principal level people.

Operational:

• Has Microsoft technology background and experience or exposure to this technology with connection to other vendors (preferably cloud vendors), 
• Ability to coach people and define development plans.
