Responsibilities:

  • Manage a delivery team of 10-18 people, 
  • Establish good relations (acquiring information about their personality traits, aspirations, predispositions, preferences, talents), 
  • Manage team performance (Team Members availability and allocation, raises and promotions, perform 1:1s with Team Members), 
  • Develop Team Members to full potential (identify, set, communicate and track individual objectives and goals to Team Members, take escalations, solve conflicts and issues and facilitate collaboration), 
  • Define personal development plans and objectives (OKR) for each quarter, 
  • Identify needs for hiring, firing, education, and certification, 
  • Recruitment (define job offers, candidates screening and interviews) 
  • Make work interesting and fun (help organize team integrations, provide recognition and verbal feedback). 
  • Participating in project planning sessions with clients and team members to analyze requirements and provide design recommendations for solution implementation 

  

Project delivery: 

  • Estimates the effort required to complete own work 
  • Prepares input for project documentation (architecture and design, vision and scope documents) 
  • Executes project proof of concepts, project uat, training/knowledge session and solution handover 
  • Knows how to implement complex DevOps processes that combines CI/CD, various deployment strategies and reliable monitoring,
  • Supports project management,
  • Completes delivery management tasks:

    • managing parts of backlog and sprint planning,
    • conducting project team meetings,
    • support collaboration within internal project team [developers, admins], 
    • monitoring project parameters [hours, budget, timeline etc.].

  • Estimates the effort required to deliver a project based on a statement of work,
  • Acts as Technical Lead, leads technology decisions, facilitate and articulate alternatives ,
  • Supervises technical quality of delivery Leads meetings with the customer technical teams (training, handovers, requirements gathering, etc.),
  • Orchestrating collaboration within project team [incl. customer IT/ business],
  • Works on-site to ensure proper solution design and deployment.

  

Sales support

  • Breaks down business requirements into the technical specification 
  • Prepares input for offers (SOW, WBS) 
  • Design, build and deliver cloud infrastructure, configuration and processes enabling the software teams to code and deploy 

Requirements:

Requirements focused on team leading: 

  • Minimum 3+ years of experience on managerial position, 
  • Experience in the IT industry, 
  • Familiar with concepts described in: 
  • First, break all the rules,

  • Fluent English.

Technical: 

  • Min.7+ years of experience in technical role (developer, architect, DevOps tools administrator, consultant or similar),
  • Min. 2+ years of experience in Azure DevOps or GitHub,
  • Min. 2+ years of experience in working with public cloud (preferred Azure or keen to learn),
  • Min. 5+ years of experience in working with Agile/Kanban/Scrum, 
  • Ability to prepare DevOps implementation plan based on a given software development process,
  • Expertise in managing and configuring Azure DevOps or GitHub organizations and projects,
  • Strong scripting skills PowerShell, Terraform, Azure CLI, Bash 
  • Experience in on-prem TFS/Azure DevOps/GitHub deployments and administration,
  • Solid understanding and working knowledge of software development methodologies, practices, tools and techniques, 
  • Understands the SAFe/Lean/Less and can map process’ elements to the DevOps tool,
  • Fluent English.

  

Nice to have: 

  • Experience with code analysis tools (White Source, SonarQube) 
  • Familiarity event-driven architecture; 
  • Experience working with AKS or similar 
  • MCP certification or Scrum.org certification; 
  • Experience in Sales/Presales 

  

Soft skills: 

  • Good presentation and communication skills, 
  • Ability to troubleshoot and solve technical issues, 
  • Ability to lead training sessions, 
  • Good people skills [e.g. orchestrating teamwork],
