Design Engineer
Location: Katowice

Responsibilities

  • Realization of the assigned design activities in compliance with the required company standards, design specifications and customer requirements.
  • Consider product cost targets and the design budget
  • Design activities (CAD data, drawings, FMEA, ...) in the assigned projects
  • Material and process-compatible design for detailed solutions, assemblies and end products
  • Definition of structures, assemblies and parts lists
  • Execution of production and material specific dimensional tolerance considerations as well as implementation in the drawings (e.g. 3D CS)
  • Support in the creation of principle/functional samples (prototypes)
  • Coordination with MEI on technical feasibility and ease of assembly of design scopes
  • Participation in concept meetings, design reviews and approvals, simulations, FMEA as well as prototype and product validation meetings, customer and supplier meetings
  • Participation in the derivation of product or product improvement ideas to increase profitability
  • Archiving and release of the results in the project drive/PDM
  • Coordination of tasks with the project team in an international environment

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Precision Engineering, Plastics Technology or similar field
  • Know How in the field of automotive / mechanical engineering
  • At least 2 years in product development automotive / mechanical engineering
  • Experience in design and layout of plastic and/or metal components
  • Design in 3D
  • Tolerance calculations and implementation in the drawings
  • Assessment and evaluation of FEM results and their implementation in the overall product system
  • Assessment and evaluation of plastic Moldflow results and their implementation in the product overall system
  • Experience with customer portals
  • Microsoft Office Tools
  • Fluent in Polish and English, German would be an asset
