I started at TSG as a game tester without any experience at all. As an amateur game-making generalist, during the test period, I fixed bugs on my own and tried to participate in Game Design brainstorms and discussions. For six years, I was jumping from programming into design positions to end up as a Product Owner.
Right now, I support a team of specialists, and together with them, I make the most impactful, data-oriented decisions. The job is great because the culture is right – we work together based on trust, independence and respecting both soft and hard skills.
The board gives us a great deal of autonomy and is very supportive when we need help. Every time I feel we should take the risk and invest in an experimental feature, I get both expertise from the team and meaningful advice from the board. To sum it up, it’s a high-stakes yet very rewarding job.
